Sandisk Compact Flash Cards - Driver Problem

I use a lot a CF II cards of different makes for transfering images from my Cannon EOS 350d. Most of my CF cards work fine but Vista refuses to load drivers for SanDisk cards but is happy with any other make. My SanDisk cards work fine on XP pcs.
SanDisk do not supply drivers as they (quite rightly) say I shouldn't need them with Windows. I have tried manually loading drivers, forcing windows to use disk.inf, etc to no avail.
Anyone any ideas?

No idea. My Sandisk 1 GB Ultra II works fine under Vista in a generic USB card reader....

Nah, I'm using a PCMCIA adapter... Could try a USB card reader but don't really want to have to carry one of these around.
